<body class='hmmessage'><div dir='ltr'>It is once again that time of year when we must file our annual reports with the EMS Council of New Jersey. The report is due before midnight on April 1st. It is important that we get our list in on time as we have several Explorer members applying for Council scholarships and they will not be eligible for scholarships if the squad is not compliant in providing the reports by April 1st.<br><br>Under Council guidelines and State laws, it is required that all active members of volunteer EMS agencies are required to have current certification in CPR to the professional level even if they are only listed as drivers. Annual reports with active members that are not currently certified in CPR are rejected. I have updated our membership roster on the Council database, but before I can submit the report I have to update all expired CPR cards and provide dates for those that do not have a current CPR card listed in our database. After reviewing our membership database, the rosters of all classes Brenda and I have taught at the squad building, and checking the files of each member, I find that we still do not have current CPR cards for quite a few members.<br><br>Below is a list of squad members for whom I do not have a current CPR card. If you are on this list, please respond to this email immediately by emailing me (first_aider@msn.com) with the expiration date of you current professional level CPR card. Then at your earliest convenience either email me a copy of your card (both sides) or go to the building and copy your card (both sides) for inclusion in your membership file, then put them in my box. PLEASE DO THIS NO LATER THAN NOON ON MARCH 31st, so I have time to submit our annual reports on time. If I do not have your expiration date emailed to me by then, I will have to mark you as inactive, so the report is accepted.
