(ED).<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">Effective immediately, ALL patients and EMS providers entering the ED must be wearing a surgical mask.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">Registration will be handled in the vestibule of the ED ambulance entrance. EMS providers will apply ID bands to their patients. Hospital staff will no longer do this.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">The previous protocol announced for patients possibly infected with COVID-19 remains in effect. You must call ahead to 609.853.9726 so we can prepare an appropriate
room. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif"> <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">When caring for a patient who may be infected with COVID-19, EMS providers should follow current CDC guidance on personal protective equipment by donning gown, gloves,
eye protection, and a face mask before engaging the patient. The CDC has advised that surgical masks are acceptable. During aerosol-generating procedures involving a patient who may be infected with COVID-19, healthcare providers should wear N95 respirators.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
