Hi Joel,

Happy Holidays as well.

We do not provide active shooter training. There is a video out there I had
seen and can perhaps track it down with some NYPD contacts.  I think I also
seen it on TV – about how people should responder to active shooter
intruders in a building.  .   FDNY and NYPD have a tactical guide of what
on scene operations would look like deferring to law enforcement, triaging
and coordinating the removal of victims.  (I don’t think that is what you
are looking for).  I attached a DHS document that may be useful.  Let me
know if you want me to pursue the video.

Hi Jim,





Quick question-



I am not sure if Emergency Management does this but I heard that your
agency provides Active Shooter training. If so, could you point me to a
person or group responsible? I would like to see what it would take to
get  one or two people in an upcoming  class.



Not sure if you recall but I was the CIO in San Bernardino County before I
came to NYC. Preparation for active shooters is very dear to my heart.
