[KPFARS-Members] Few Updates

Good Morning All.
Hope you had a good weekend.

Here are a few updates on what's going on at KPFARS.

1. Fireworks: We were well represented at the Fireworks event and both PD
and Mayor thanked us. Thanks to all those who participated.

2. Haider Zaki, one of the members with good standing, is heading to
Medical School next month. We invited his family last week and had a small
celebration thanking him and wishing him Good Luck.

3. After a long time we saw some new members taking the initiative of
washing A63 without anyone asking them to do so. That's a positive Change.
We all celebrated at Rita's of Franklin. :)

4. Around 10 of us met on Sunday and went on a 7 mile hike at the Six Mile
Run State Park in Franklin. Our past member Jay Phansalkar also showed up
and it was a fun hike.
We will be doing more of these.

5. *Member of the Month*: Though we don't have our regular Business meeting
this month, we are still giving our Member of the Month award.  For July it
is Samhita Narendrula.
She took the initiative of picking 2 Saturday Shifts. One 24 hour and a 12
hr shift. She found a crew chief for the shifts as well.
Squad will survive only when people work as a team. Teamwork, Teamwork,
Teamwork.

6.* Our riding roster and Junction Problem:*  I am pleased to inform you
that we are 50 members in the riding roster now though 7 are waiting to get
a shift.
That said, Junction reached out to us asking our help to have some of our
members ride with them so that they can survive.
We have a few members who live very close to the Junction building.  We
will work with those members to run with Junction. Will keep you posted
after working on the logistics.
