Due to a personal issue I have not sent out the open report reminder for a
few weeks. I have been out of state and consumed with the passing of my
father. Returning to the area I checked the report status in emsCharts.
WOW!!!!
45 of the open charts are more than 5 days old.
41 are from before September.
My Questions to you:
When we transport a patient to the hospital do we stop 3 blocks before we
get there?
Do we stop giving O2 when the bottle gets low?
When the ambulance is low on fuel, do we just ignore the gas gauge?
If you honestly answered yes to any of the above questions, I understand why
we have so many open charts.
If you are an EMT and you have open charts, close them. If you have a
reason why they are still open, let me know.
