Storm Update:
As you all should be aware, we as a community were very fortunate that the predicted Blizzard for January 26th and 27th was not as bad as forecasted. Needless to say, the anticipated 2 to 3 feet of snow would have created a very different situation than what currently exists. With the 8 to 12 inches of snow that we did receive there are obviously challenges, though it is nothing compared to what was predicted.
With that said, I would like to thank the following individuals that responded to our requests for additional manpower and standby crews during the duration of the storm.
Krys Janish
Matt Montville
Liz Butera
Rebecca Hupp
Dan Weis
Jeff Arouh
Srinivas Vallury
William Kennedy
Though other members were available and did respond during their scheduled duty times, these members took on the extra assignments and provided a much needed layer of emergency services during the storm. These members are a good example and reminder of why most of us became volunteers in the communities we live.
On behalf of myself and the Line officers, Thank you!!
Thank you,
Brian Low-Beer, Chief
