At the next Business Meeting, I will be making the following 2 motions.
(Hopefully in the spirit of professionalism and accountability they will be
passed by the membership).

 

1.      As of January 1st, 2017 any member of a crew with an incomplete/open
EMS Chart (More than 30 Days) will be disqualified by the Squad to receive
LOSAP Funds for that year. The exception will be with the approval of the
Chief on a case by case basis. 

2.      As of December 31st, 2016 (approximately 69 days from now) any
member of a crew with an incomplete/open EMS Chart (More than 30 Days) will
be disqualified by the Squad to receive LOSAP Funds for 2016. The exception
will be with the approval of the Chief on a case by case basis.

 

All members of a crew are responsible for patient care, no matter their
level of training.  (Each members plays a part). Completing medical records
is part of patient care. (PCR - Patient Care Report) These 2 Motions will
affect all members of a crew with open charts of more than 30 days.

 

As of now we have 84 charts more than 30 days old.  31 of the following
listed members are listed on charts open more than 30 Days.

 

Recommendation: If you are on a crew with an open chart and you are not
capable or permitted to complete and lock the chart, "Get after" someone on
the crew that is.

 

FYI. As of now LOSAP funding is just under $1,100.00 a year to a qualifying
member.
