Good afternoon,

Earlier today I participated in a conference call hosted by NJ DOH Commissioner of Health Judith Persichelli regarding the vaccination process for First Responders.  While allot of information was provided here are a few notes that address some of the questions I have received:


1)      EMS providers have been placed in Phase 1A as healthcare workers

2)      NJ plans to open six mega vaccination sites as well as multiple County level vaccination sites. No dates or locations were provided.

3)      Specific vaccine availability for EMS should be expected in mid to late January 2021. Specific dates, sites and sign up procedures were not provided.

4)      Points of dispensing will be located at:

a.       Pharmacies

b.       Urgent care centers

c.       Other medical clinics

d.       Federally Qualified Health Centers

e.       Hospitals

f.        Local Health Departments

g.       Other state and county-run sites

5)      Vaccine itself will be free of charge

6)      NJ DOH is publishing a weekly newsletter on their website called Vax Matters

As more information becomes available I will be sure to pass it on.
