The SB3 crew at the building today reported that one of its crew members was bitten by a bed bug while sitting on one of the couches.

We have arranged for exterminators to come to the building tomorrow for an inspection and hope to have the building and ambulances treated by Wednesday for bed bugs.

I have inspected A-62 and found no signs of bed bugs. It is safe to use. Bed bugs are small but visible to the naked eye (they are about 5 mm in length. If you have never seen a bed bug, I have attached a photo. A-63 is out for service and not available

Bed bugs can easily be killed using isopropyl alcohol. You should be cleaning the ambulance stretcher after every patient as a precaution for COVID-19. This should kill any bed bugs.

If you recently had bug bites, a rash, or an itch after being at the building or on a call please let me know.

I will inform you after the extermination process has been completed.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.
