Please be advised the Somerset County Department of Health will also offer Pfizer COVID-19 booster shots to eligible First Responders working in Somerset County, on Saturday September 25, from 9am to 12pm (noon), at the Somerset County Public Works Garage.

Those who are eligible to receive a Pfizer COVID-19 booster dose include:

  *   People aged 65 years and older, residents in long-term care settings, and people aged 50-64 with underlying medical conditions<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/people-with-medical-conditions.html> at least 6 months after completing their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series
  *   Individuals aged 18-49 years with underlying medical conditions<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/people-with-medical-conditions.html> and people aged 18-64 years old who are at increased risk due to an occupational or institutional setting are also recommended to receive a booster shot based on their individual benefits and risks, 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series.


Individuals must bring proof of vaccination and be an eligible First Responder working in Somerset County to receive a Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 booster dose.

At this time, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has not approved booster shots from Moderna or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.
