[KPFARS-Operations] Meeting Minutes from Feb 2022 Meeting

*Chief's Report(Srini V): *
*Coverage:* Monthly Schedule has been shared with KP, MJ, SBEMS and
Township. Even dispatchers have access to the schedule.

We request members not to change your availability once they are scheduled.
Please let us know well in advance or find your coverage.

*Franklin Coverage:* At this point of time it is uncertain that KP will be
covering Franklin township past May 1st. SBPD and the Mayor gave us an
ultimatum that we not go into Franklin from May 1st.  Franklin Township is
in talks with SBPD. We will keep you posted.

*March 2nd Drill:* Please make every effort to join this drill 7 PM- 8 PM.
This is a very important event to show the township that we are strong. 4
officers including our EMS Coordinator Sgt. Penney is going to be at our
building. The topic of discussion is "EMS Safety",  Monmouth Junction Squad
members will also be attending this drill. We will request SBEMS day crew
to stay for a couple of hours covering the town.

*Fuel From Franklin: *Please start using the Franklin Facility for
refuelling. It is very convenient and saves some time.  Laminated
instructions are in A63. We will keep a copy of fobs and access cards in
A62 as well.

*Parking: *Please don't park your cars in front of the building if there
are already 4 cars. Big cars, trucks and RVs are not allowed. Please park
your vehicles across the street or in the Fire Departments rear lot.

*Self-Paced Training: * We will start creating training videos and upload
it in Google Photos till we find a better free tool.

*Treasurer's Report(Brian LB)*
Fidelity Account Balance: $486, 841
Magyar Savings: $10,727
Magyar Checking: $ 5,632
PNC Checking: $23,843
Outstanding Checks: Uniforms and PSEG

*Gym Membership*: Squad will cover up to $25 per month. Members can join
any health club.
Please scan and send the bill to treasurer at kpfars.org and submit a signed
copy in the Treasurer's mailbox. Please submit them before the end of the
year.

*Membership(Srini)*:
Starting from this month we will be celebrating birthdays for the month.
For January and February Ray W, Karthik, Noah, Ekaprana, Lori celebrated
their birthdays. We wish them a Happy Birthday.

*Moving out of Probation*: Syed Raza, Mustafa Serang, Meet Patel. They
become full members with Voting rights
2nd Readings: Samhita Narendrula, Adi Shah, Hrushikesh Patel
1st Readings: Deepesh Patel, Ajita Singh

Member of the Month for January and February: Amar Chinni and Lori Khadse
for taking initiatives with the membership drives, Rig Checks and EMS
Charts.

*House and Grounds:*
Lights outside the building are ON all the time. They will be fixed soon.
KP Sign outside the building will be ordered.

*Motor Vehicles: *
All Vehicles are in Service.
A63 Coolant issue will be fixed.
A63 IV Pole will be installed soon.
If you see any message in the ambulances, please let Scott know ASAP
instead of waiting till the last minute.

*SB3:*
SB3 is back in business. Township gave us one more opportunity to keep
SBEMS alive. The Monmouth Junction squad joined hands with us in keeping
SB3 alive.
Changes to the board will be made soon. 3 Members from KP and 3 Members
from MJ will have voting rights.

*Public Relations:*
Monmouth Junction and KPFARS will run a membership drive by putting 2
ambulances on March 12th. Amar, Stephanie and Lori will attend the
membership drive.

Srini V and Rich Hoff will be on Air of Radio Mirchi a popular South Asian
Radio Channel as far as membership drive is concerned.

*14th District(Frank LB):*
HIPPA access related changes are coming. Al will explain more soon.

*EMS Commission:*
Township decided to dismantle EMS Commission.

*Old Business:*

*New Business:*

   - *Brian: * Nominate Jeff Arouh for Life Membership *Srini:* Spend up to
   $200 for getting a Plaque/gift
   - New Budget(Brian): Brian please send a copy to all.
   - *Srini:* Spend up to $3500 for getting 3 new couches from Raymour
   Flanigan and get rid of the old ones. Update: These were ordered on 2/21
   and they will be delivered by 2/24
   - Fund Drive Provider(Brian): The current Fund Drive mailing Provider's
   service has been subpar. Looked into other providers and they seem to be
   more expensive. The new vendor charges close to $10,000 for 2
   mailings(Color prints etc.,) Tabled for now. We will work with the current
   vendor and see if he can improve his service.
   - Rig Check App to be tried for Free for 3 months. $100 per month if
   subscribed. Brian LB gave a demo of the app.
   - Srini Presented a motion to move Scott to Captain's position and
   nominated Prem Ghooray for Lieutenant.


The March schedule has been published in PlanIT. Please find attached a
basic run guide for new members. This is applicable to most members.

Please reach out to Al, Bob and any of the crew chiefs or myself if you
need help in getting familiarized with what we all are required to do.
