I wanted to thank your crews for enduring an incident which occurred last
evening at Princeton Detox Center.  Although we continue to work with the
Detox Center and reduce the need for these transports it is disappointing
when an intoxicated patient treats our officers and EMT(s) in the manner in
which this individual did.  I wanted to extend my thanks to your crews and
that I am grateful that the officers on scene while using restraint applied
the necessary force to keep our first responders safe.  Please extend my
thanks to your crew who was on this job and let them know their safety is
our primary concern.  I know that KPFAS A63 handled the call but I wanted
to get the information out to everyone because I know that all services
have been there at one time or another.



I will be contacting Princeton Detox for a follow up meeting as well.  If
you have any questions or concerns please don not hesitate to contact me
directly.
