All,
We do understand that some of you might have classes during the
scheduled drills. That doesn't mean we as a responsible entity providing
Emergency Medical Services send untrained or individuals with Outdated
skills on calls.
All it takes is one bad call to mess up everything. When I say anything to
update our skills, I include myself in that. I was talking to one of our
members who became an EMT this year and learned about the member's concern
on not getting enough calls to practice the skills learned during the
EMT training. With so many things going on in our daily lives, school,
work, family etc., it is hard to remember everything.
We will try to do everything to make drills more interesting. I have been
talking to other providers and we have some interesting topics for drills.
While Drills and Business Meetings are equally important, in my opinion,
Drills/skills will always take precedence over anything else.
I would like to give it another shot and see if we can get better
participation for these drills.
Appreciate if you can respond to this survey.
