At the special meeting held on Wednesday, December 4th, I indicated that our ICS training requirements as set forth in our bylaws were out-of-date and explained the current requirements. I indicated that it was a little difficult without seeing them in writing and indicated that I would follow up with this email setting forth the current ICS requirements as set forth in directives of the N.J. Office of Emergency Management (NJOEM); which is part of the N.J. Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP).

Directive NJOEM-1 sets forth the minimum training requirements for first responders (such as EMS). I have highlighted the relevant parts.

The ICS Training Policy sets forth which courses can be taken and who can teach them, i.e., the training requirements to be an ICS Instructor in the State of New Jersey.

If you have any questions, I will try to answer them or find someone who can.
