Attached is the proposed squad schedule for July 2025.

Sorry for the late release/

Please review the schedule ASAP and advise of any shifts you are scheduled for that you cannot cover.  Please advise me no later than July 2 at 6 pm.  Anything that comes up after that, you will be required to find your own replacement or cover the shift.

There are many open spaces in our schedule.  The problem is not a lack of members.  There are 2 problems.

First, I have several new members who have joined that I cannot schedule because most shifts are full of 4 members.  They would be willing to run on Sundays or Wednesdays, but I do not have a crew chief or driver for these crews.  Current crew chiefs and crew chiefs-in-training, as well as drivers and drivers-in-training are scheduled with crews that have more than one crew chief or driver.  Training both takes time.  I am looking for crew chiefs and drivers to switch or pick up some shifts on Wednesday and Sunday so we can start having crews on those days.  I am asking for volunteers who are crew chiefs or drivers to pick up some shifts so we can have crews on Sundays and Wednesdays and give our new members a chance to be on a crew.

Second, our schedule has become bloated with members who are no longer active.  Per our by-laws, members must be active.  That means they must take an active part in the operation of our squad.  That means taking calls, attending meetings and participating in our squad activities.  Many of our members have not been scheduled for a shift in months.  They say they will pick up an open shift but never do. If you are one of those, I may have already contacted you or I may contact you in the near future and will give you a choice.  You can start picking up shifts or filling holes on a monthly basis, you can formally resign from the squad, or you can do nothing and we will eventually remove you for cause.
