[KPFARS-Members] Reminder: The December Business Meeting/Potluck Dinner is tomorrow night, December 19th at 6:30 pm.

A quick reminder that the potluck dinner and December year-end Business Meeting will be held at the New Road building tomorrow night, December 19th, starting at 6:30 pm.

A representative from AT&T will be present to explain FirstNet to the members and what it means to the squad and our members.  FirstNet is a federal government initiated and implemented  communication system designed for first responders.  It is an emergency hardened cellular system designed to provide priority to first responders, including EMS.  AT&T has the government contract to implement the system.

The election for 2019 officers will also be held.  All active members who are not on probation may vote.  Vote is by secret ballot.  If a member is unable to attend, they may, per the Squad By-Laws, submit an  absentee ballot by leaving it in the recording secretary's box or handing it to the recording secretary prior to the start of the meeting at 6:30 p.m.  To maintain the secrecy of their ballot, members should  place their name on the outside of an envelope and place their ballot with their choice for each position on a paper that does not bear their name and place that ballot in an envelope marked ballot, but without their name on it. and place that in the outer envelope with their name on it.
