Good morning Chiefs,

The Township of South Brunswick has modified the dispatch procedures to include the notification to the patrol officer and shift supervisor of an ems call involving a patient that is reporting flu like symptoms or a call for service to a medical care facility.  The supervisor will determine if the dispatched officer will enter the location or stage outside.  The goal is to limit officers exposure in cases where there is no intervention the officer provide prior to the arrival of EMS. Officers will remain available for any request by EMS.

Please ensure EMS supervisors limit the opportunity for the exposure of the responding crew and determine the exposure risk and if required, exposure mitigation via standing protocols.

Please confirm receipt via email and advise of any questions or concerns.
