[KPFARS-Members] Coverage, Rig Checks & EMS Charts

All,
Hope you are doing well.

We are looking for more coverage time from approved drivers and EMTs. We
need your help.
Please let me know if you have some time to either be on additional duty
shifts or backup Shifts.

With 3, 4 or 5 member crews on most nights and Saturdays, we should get
better with Rig Checks, Charting and Patient Care.  No exceptions.
Effective immediately this is how we will operate.


   - Once the Crew is assembled, the crew assigns themselves tasks like who
   will do Charting, one will take duty of getting the jumpkit and/O2 bag
   depending on Crew Chief's direction.  One will take care of getting moving
   devices ready (Scoop, Stretcher, Reeves etc., as per Crew Chief's requests)
   Crew Chief will do patient assessment and assign tasks as appropriate.
   - Basic demographics info, mileage, Referring and Receiving, Times,
   Vitals info, Case number in the correct format will be entered by members
   other than Crew Chief.
   - Crew Chiefs will verify data that the other members entered on charts
   and add more info and close the charts.
   - Members will continuously learn each and every equipment on the trucks
   and how to use them.
   - Rig checks are mandatory.  Each and Every member of the riding crews
   must do this. That is the best way of learning all the supplies and
   equipment on the rigs.
   - Seatbelts:  All members of the Crew must wear seatbelts irrespective
   of where you are sitting.

We will start drafting a module based training for all the members. This
will not only help you all in providing better patient care it will also
help in your EMT programme and be more helpful. Al and Bob Dickerson will
lead this effort. We will have a course plan ready by mid of February.

Karthik and Stephanie our in-house digital media experts will help us in
creating short Videos of most of the work we do on and off field.
This morning Saturday's morning crew was trained on Changing Main O2 Tank
and basic EMS Charting.

I promise we will do high quality videos. If you don't want to see my face
and hear my Screechy voice, you have an option.  Learn fast. I will stop
making Videos :) :)

We will be shooting a few Videos featuring some of the members Al, Bob,
Haider, Noah, Smit, Stephanie and more.
We will have a Video library so that you can watch and learn at your
convenience.

You have a big decision to make.  We plan to take the squad in a different
and better direction. Which involves Discipline, Commitment, Consistency
and Efforts. If you are not up to it and are here for a Certificate to
Present it School or doing things just for the sake of it, you need to
rethink.
