All,
We will have a couple of Police officers from SBPD presenting in our
March's Drill.
You have a month to rearrange your schedules to try and attend this drill.

Some of the topics covered are listed below:

   - *Crime Scenes: What EMS should do and shouldn't do*
   - *MVA Scenes: What EMS should do and shouldn't do. Parking ambulance
   etc., *
   - *When we arrive on scene before PD, what precautions should we take?
and when we should immediately call dispatch for more help.*
   - *Operating Emergency Vehicles: Safety, Traffic Rules, Crossing
   Highways etc.,*
   - *Psych Calls: Dealing with combative patients.*
   - *and some other topics, *

We need participation and attendance in these Drills and Business Meetings.
There is no one in the squad that knows everything that drills are not
needed. Unless you are a career medical professional or an instructor,
these drills are extremely important.

We do understand that sometimes you may have classes scheduled or work or
family commitments. It cannot be on each and every drill and business
meeting night.
If you don't have more or less the same enthusiasm and interest in
volunteering with the squad that you had when you joined the squad, you
have a decision to make.

We have a lot of new members waiting to get shifts, I don't have any
problem training them or making space for them.

Thank you for your cooperation. Let us work as a team or move on and do
something else.

FYI. The Brooklyn Nets tickets are gone. As I mentioned, they are given to
an member who attended the last 3 drills and helped us with the CoVID
Testing last month.
