Below is a link to the recently released 2022 Interim Clinical Practice Guidelines (EMS Protocols).  these supersede the EMS Field Guide.

These Guidelines are not law or regulation, they set forth the best practices for EMT's and Paramedics licensed in the State of New Jersey.

I presume they are interim, because the State Legislature recently enacted a comprehensive reform of the EMS laws commonly referred to the ALS Law.  While it primarily effects Paramedics, some of the changes impact EMT's and will require the State to revamp its regulations and in turn update these guidelines.  I would not be surprised if one or more of the following become part of the scope of practice and training of EMT's:  Glucometry, Carrying Albuterol, Use of I-gel as an advanced airway for BLS, 12-lead acquisition.
